Meeting Mahatir

President Rodrigo Duterte is set to meet with Malaysian Prime Mahatir Mohamad today. This is the first time the two are meeting since Mahatir won the elections. Expected topics include terrorism and piracy. Will China, Sabah and the disputes in the South China Sea be mentioned? ANC will give you the very latest on this meeting.

Not pro-dynasty

The Consultative Committee (ConCom) tasked to review the 1987 Constitution released a statement Sunday night hitting back at former Chief Justice Hilario Davide’s statement that the draft federal constitution is anti-poor, anti-Filipino and pro-dynasty. Also, educators released a statement on charter change and federalism.

Rich congressman, poor congressman

Congress has released details on the SALNs of our honorable representatives. ANC will go over the list and reveal who is the richest and the poorest.

For the third player

Acting Department of the Interior and Local Government Secretary Eliseo Rio Jr. said he would resign if he cannot convince members of the oversight committee to choose the Department of Information and Communications Technology’s version of the selection rules for the third telecom player. Let’s see if the threat will result in the selection of a worthy third player.

Fight another day

After boxing legend Manny Pacquiao’s win over Lucas Matthysse, President Rodrigo Duterte said the fighting lawmaker should retire from boxing. However, Pacquiao himself said he is not ready to retire. Who will he fight next? Or will he have a change of mind and finally hang up his boxing gloves to end a storied career on a high note?
