BENGUET - Two men included in La Trinidad, Benguet's drug watchlist were killed in separate shooting incidents on Thursday night.
Police said James Batawa was first gunned down in Sitio Toyong, Pico by two unidentified men.
Batawa was riding his motorcycle when the gunmen shot him several times. The men also left a piece of carton stating, "Huwag niyo akong tularan ako'y isang tulak."
The incident also accidentally wounded a 24-year-old student who was just then boarding an AUV near the crime scene. He was rushed to Baguio General Hospital and is now in stable condition.
La Trinidad police confirmed that Batawa, who was originally from Buguias, Benguet, was included in their level 2 drug watchlist.
He was allegedly supplying shabu in other municipalities of Benguet.
Three hours later, a man identified as Noel Bisaya was shot dead in Upper Shilan by unidentified men on board a black SUV.
According to the police, Bisaya was from Samar and also included in their drug watchlist.
Authorities believe that their deaths have something to do with their involvement in the illegal drug trade in the province.
"Nagbubunyag na sila ng pangalan ngayon, kaya yung iba gusto sigurong patahimikin, or pwedeng nagka-onsehan" said Chief Inspector Radino Belly.
