MANILA -- (UPDATE) A man was killed in an ambush along Osmeña Highway, Makati on Sunday morning.

The man was identified as Jesus de Guzman Dimayuga, a 63-year-old resident of Bangkal, Makati.

The victim and his wife were on their way to church on board an SUV when a man wearing a white helmet and green jacket allegedly fired at their vehicle.

Authorities recovered shells of a 9mm firearm.

CCTV cameras may have captured the direction where the suspect fled, authorities said.

"May portion lang na allegedly yung perpetrator passed by sa loob ng street na kung saan meron (CCTV)," barangay chairman Mario Montañez said.

(There's a portion where the perpetrator passed by inside an alley where there was a CCTV camera.)

"So sabi niya, naka-motor, single rider, na wearing a helmet. Though nung una hindi pa nga nagma-match yung colors. So we tried to scan our cameras kung saan pwede na nagma-match sa time frame pati dun sa description ng witness."

(One of the victims said the suspect was on board a motorcycle, a single rider wearing a helmet. Though at first the colors did not match so we tried to scan our cameras when it could match the time frame and the description of the witness.)

The suspect allegedly left his motorcycle in the area and walked away from Barangay Bangkal.

Montañez said they will continue to look for more CCTV footage that might have captured the incident.
