MANILA—The body of an unidentified man was found along 5th Avenue in Barangay 55, Caloocan City early Saturday.
Based on the police's initial investigation, the victim sustained two gunshot wounds to the head.
The man is believed to be in his 30s, and approximately between 5 feet to 5-foot-5 tall. He was wearing blue jeans and a gray shirt.
Police recovered from the crime scene two pieces of fired cartridge cases of an undetermined caliber of firearm, two pieces of live ammunition, two sachets of suspected shabu, and two sachets of suspected marijuana leaves.
CCTV footage from the barangay showed a car, followed by two motorcycles, traversing 5th Avenue at about 2:20 a.m. Saturday.
According to barangay officials, the car was the same vehicle that dropped off the body. The riders of the two motorcycles, meanwhile, are believed to have shot the man thereafter.
Barangay chairman Darius Estoquia said one resident heard two gunshots about the same time. Estoquia said the victim was not from the barangay.
