MANILA - The National Task Force against COVID-19 has approved another barrier design for motorcycles to curb the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19), its chairman said Monday.
Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana said motorists can now use a barrier designed like a backpack worn by the vehicle's driver.
Government earlier approved a barrier design attached to the motorcycle after it allowed backriding for couples.
Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla has described the design as "dangerous, inconvenient, and does not make sense."
