MANILA - Former Senator Juan Ponce Enrile had good words for retiring Ombudsman Conchita Carpio Morales who filed the Priority Development Assistance Fund scam cases against him in 2014 at the Sandiganbayan.
Enrile told reporters after his pre-trial for his plunder case at the Sandiganbayan Third Division that he wants the best for Morales who is set to step down on July 25.
“I wish her good luck,” Enrile said.
The pre-trial of Enrile for his P172 million plunder case was postponed anew and reset to August 31.
While the PDAF cases of former Senators Jinggoy Estrada and Bong Revilla are already in the trial stage, Enrile’s case was still in the pre-marking of evidence stage.
Enrile’s lawyers have yet to compare the photocopies with original copies of the documentary evidence.
