MANILA (3rd UPDATE)—A brewing storm or low-pressure area will bring rains over different parts of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, the state weather bureau said Friday.
The storm will bring moderate to heavy rainshowers over Abra, Apayao, Aurora, Batanes, Benguet, Cagayan, Ifugao, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Isabela, Kalinga, La Union, Marinduque, Mountain Province, Nueva Vizcaya, Oriental Mindoro, Pangasinan, Quirino, and Bicol region in Luzon.
The weather system will also bring moderate to heavy rains over Northern Samar, Romblon, and the eastern and central sections of Visayas.
Scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms will also be experienced in Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Bukidnon, Davao del Norte, Davao de Oro, Davao Oriental, Lanao del Sur, Misamis Occidental, Misamis Oriental, Sarangani, Surigao del Sur, Surigao del Norte, Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur, and Zamboanga Sibugay in Mindanao.
PAGASA said light to moderate winds blowing from the northeast to the southwest of the country will prevail with slight to moderate disturbance over seas.
Residents along mountain slopes are advised to take precautionary measures against possible hazards such as landslides, mudslides, rockslides and flash floods.
