MANILA - Ride-hailing firm Grab on Thursday offered P50,000 for any information that would lead to the capture of 7 unidentified men who robbed a branch of Metrobank at gunpoint in Binondo, Manila on the same day.
"To help speed up the investigation, Grab is offering a reward of PhP 50,000 for any relevant information that would aid in locating the robbery suspect. For any leads, contact us at our hotline (02) 883-7101," Grab Philippines Spokesperson Atty. Nicka Hosaka said in a statement.
The statement came after one of the suspects reportedly wore a jacket usually worn by Grab drivers. The transport company said it has issued "thousands of these jackets over the years, and any one of these jackets may have been passed on or sold."
"That said, we are working closely with the local authorities to aid in their on-going investigation, and we will provide relevant updates as new information becomes available," Hosaka said.
Manila Mayor Isko Moreno also issued a reward of P1 million for any information that would lead to the arrest of the bank robbers.
