MANILA - Typhoon Gardo has left the Philippine area of responsibility, state weather bureau PAGASA said Tuesday.
PAGASA said Gardo was already outside of the country as of 6 p.m.
The typhoon (international name: Maria), was last spotted 585 kilometers northeast of Basco, Batanes.
During its 5 p.m. briefing, PAGASA said the typhoon continues to affect the southwest monsoon or "habagat," which will bring rains in different parts of the country.
PAGASA also warned that the Philippines may experience two to four storms this month.
