MANILA—A magnitude 4.7 earthquake struck Surigao del Norte on Monday afternoon, Phivolcs said.
The tectonic quake struck at 2:06 p.m. and has a depth of 11 kilometers.
Its epicenter was located 25 kilometers northeast of General Luna town.
Intensity 2, which may cause hanging objects to swing slightly, was felt in the town of Socorro.
Instrumental intensity 1 was meanwhile recorded in Surigao City.
No damages and aftershocks are expected, Phivolcs said.
