MANILA - Seven alleged drug pushers were arrested in a Manila raid that was unhampered by heavy rains on Friday.
One hundred six sachets of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride or "shabu" worth P100,000 were seized from the group, which included brothers Arnel and Felix Brioso.
Felix Brioso denied involvement in the drug trade and added he was suffering from stage 3 cancer.
The other suspects arrested during the raid in Sampaloc district were identified as Carissa Ortilla, Evelyn Ramos, Elmer Lorian, Vincent Osorio and Edmil Ejercito.
All seven suspects have standing arrest warrants, police said. --Report from Mike Navallo, ABS-CBN News
