MANILA - A pregnant overseas Filipino worker returning to Macau from vacation in the Philippines was diagnosed as coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) positive.
In a tweet, Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Undersecretary for Civilian Security and Consular Concerns Brigido Dulay said the Philippine Consulate General in Macau is monitoring the condition of the OFW through Macau health authorities.
It is currently the only active COVID-19 case in Macau, according to the Consulate.
“Macau PCG reports this is the only active COVID case in Macau at present,” Dulay said.
Meantime, as of July 6, there have been 8,679 cases of COVID-19 among Filipinos overseas, according to the DFA.
On Monday, no new confirmed case nor new fatality due to COVID-19 was reported among Filipinos across the Americas, Asia and the Pacific, Europe, Middle East and Africa.
