MANILA – The Philippine National Police (PNP)said Friday 14 more of its personnel caught COVID-19, raising the total tally of infections in the organization to 815.
The number of those who recovered from COVID-19 also went up by 4 to 390, latest figures showed.
The police reported no new deaths, with total fatalities at 9 so far.
The 205,000-strong organization is also monitoring 731 probable carriers of the virus. Some 1,265 others are under observation for suspicion of having caught the disease.
The Philippines on Friday crossed the 40,000-marked in COVID-19 cases, with 1,531 new infections reported by the health department. The tally includes 1,280 people who succumbed to COVID-19 while 11,073 have recovered.
