MANILA - The Embassy of the United States in Manila and its affiliated offices will be closed to the public on Thursday, July 4, in observance of the 243rd anniversary of US Independence.

Services of the embassy and its affiliated offices will resume on Friday, July 5.

Meanwhile, the US Citizenship and Immigration Services office will permanently close its field office in Manila on Friday, a move seen to be in line with the Trump administration's plan to reduce its presence abroad and limit both legal and illegal immigration.
