CEBU CITY - Edgardo Labella took his oath as Cebu City mayor before Associate Justice Amy Javier-Lazaro Sunday morning.
Before he got elected as city mayor, Labella served as the city's councilor and vice mayor.
Labella, who ran under Partido Barug PDP Laban, won against Tomas Osmeña in the May 2019 elections.
As new city mayor, Labella promised to solve the city's traffic, garbage and water supply problems.
He also said he will be sharing the office of the vice mayor after Osmeña's old office has been totally wiped of equipment including tiles, ceilings, and dividers.
Meanwhile, Mike Rama also took his oath as vice mayor.
He will spearhead the city council in making ordinances and passing projects for the development of the city.
