Suspected pusher killed in buy-bust operation in Bohol

A man supposed to be the subject of a buy-bust operation was killed on Wednesday after trying to evade arrest.

Operatives from Inabanga municipal police and the intelligence branch of the Bohol provincial police office were to take into custody a certain Jose Mintal who was on their watch list, but the suspect tried to elude arrest when he noticed he was dealing with the police.

His cohort, a certain Lile Petacio, fired at the arresting officers using an ingram prompting the authorities to fight back. He sustained gunshot wounds and was dead on the spot. 

Another cohort of Mintal, Chilunes Wahing, was caught. 

Recovered from the group were packs of suspected shabu, the firearm used by Petecio and drug paraphernalia.

According to Chief Inspector Gaylord Tamayo, of Inabanga PNP, the three were new to the area.

According to their investigation, their drugs are sourced from Duljo - Fatima, Cebu City.
