ZAMBOANGA CITY -- At least 6 students suffered minor injuries after a newly-built covered court collapsed at the Sinubong National High School in this southern city on Monday morning.

The Grade 9 students were in the middle of a class activity when the roof caved in after several days of intermittent rains, said some teachers.

The victims were rushed to the Labuan Public Hospital.

The court's construction cost some P4 million. It was turned over to the school last year.

More details to follow.
