MANILA - The Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) has committed a mistake yet again, and no less than the Senator wrongfully named took notice.

This time, the office erroneously identified Senator Sherwin Gatchalian as "Winston Gatchalian" in an official release dated June 13.

The lawmaker took to social media to call out the blunder, asking: "May pagasa pa ba ang PCOO (Is there still hope for the PCOO)???"

As of posting time, the PCOO has yet to correct the error on its website

The mistake is the latest in factual errors made by the office in recent days.

The office earlier drew flak over a Facebook post after it called Norway "Norwegia" and later on mistakenly named the late National Security Adviser Roilo Golez as “Rogelio."

Golez’s full name, as pointed out by his son Parañaque Vice Mayor Rico Golez on social media, is Jose Roilo S. Golez.

Earlier this week, Malacañang expressed hopes that its communication arm would make more use of spell checkers to avoid future blunders.
