MANILA – Malacañang has declared June 24, Saturday, a special (non-working) day in Manila in commemoration of the capital city's 446th Foundation Day.
The Palace made the declaration through Proclamation No. 208, signed by Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea on May 19.
“It is but fitting that the people of the City of Manila be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies,” the proclamation reads.
The Palace also declared June 29 as a special (non-working) day in Koronadal City, South Cotabato in celebration of the city’s Tree Growing Festival.
Earlier, Malacañang also declared June 26, Monday to mark the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
