MANILA - A low pressure area will bring rains over the regions of Bicol and Eastern Visayas, the state weather bureau said Wednesday.
At 3 a.m., the weather system was spotted 100 kilometers east of Daet, Camarines Norte, said PAGASA meteorologist Meno Mendoza.
The LPA is unlikely to intensify into a storm, but may cause floods in low lying areas in Bicol and Eastern Visayas, PAGASA said.
The habagat or southwest monsoon, meanwhile, will bring light to moderate rains over Ilocos and Cordillera regions, and the islands of Batanes and Babuyan, said Mendoza.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country may experience localized thunderstorms, he added.
