The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) on Tuesday told all public and private colleges and universities to accept all transferees from Marawi City even with "incomplete records."
"We sent an advisory to all universities to immediately accept students from Marawi in case they want to transfer," CHED Commissioner Prospero De Vera said in a press conference.
"(Universities were told to) Immediately accept them even with incomplete records. The records can come later," he added.
Thousands have been displaced by the month-long battle as air strikes and ground assaults continue to besiege the Islamic City.
De Vera said the number of college students affected by the conflict has yet to be determined.
The CHED is also discussing how to deal with the transfer of college professors and instructors in Marawi to other educational institutions.
