MANILA - A former senatorial candidate early Thursday jokingly warned that Malacañang might be another "problem" which Vice President Leni Robredo will solve after Presidential spokesman Harry Roque said the latter should offer solutions instead of criticizing government.
"Mars, wag mo hintaying malaman ni VP Leni na kayo ang tunay na problema. Baka kayo mismo, solusyunan niya rin. Biro lang Mars! Peace!" tweeted Samira Gutoc, who ran for senator under Liberal Party for the May 2019 elections. Robredo is the chairperson of LP.
Roque earlier blasted Robredo for her criticisms on government's response for stranded individuals and travelers amid the coronavirus lockdown in the Philippines.
"I just wish the Vice President could actually offer solutions,” he told ANC on Wednesday.
Robredo chided poor efforts by government in bringing home individuals stranded in Metro Manila after a woman died after waiting for five days at a Pasay footbridge for a bus ride to Bicol.
"Ilan pa ba iyong magiging ganito kapag hindi maayos iyong sistema?" she said.
