MANILA—University of the Philippines climbed 28 places higher in the 2020 QS World University Rankings.
The state university is currently No. 356, from No. 384 in 2019.
This is also the university's fourth climb in the rankings, its highest since 2014.
UP also placed 72nd in the Asian university rankings.
Other Philippine universities included in the list were Ateneo de Manila University (601 to 650), De La Salle University (801 to 1000) and University of Santo Tomas (801 to 1,000).
Published by Quarelli Symonds, the QS World University Rankings 2020 features 1,000 universities worldwide.
Massachusetts Institute of Technology maintained its top spot, followed by Stanford University and Harvard University in second and third places, respectively.
