MANILA--Disinfection at the Department of Justice (DOJ) compound in Manila started Thursday after 5 personnel tested positive for COVID-19, an official said.
The DOJ compound was placed under lockdown on Wednesday after 5 personnel were confirmed to be infected with COVID-19, Justice Undersecretary Markk Perete said. Those who tested positive were assigned in 3 different buildings.
"The entire complex will be disinfected starting today," he said in a virtual press briefing.
"Yung mga importanteng (important) hearings and inquests will be continued online," he added.
He added that the DOJ has started the contact tracing process with the help of the Department of Health.
The lockdown will last until June 28 but frontline offices of the DOJ will open on Monday for public transactions, Perete said.
