MANILA - Police have arrested a 22-year-old woman for allegedly posting nude photos of a minor on social media.
According to Police Col. Alejandrea Silvio, chief of the women and children unit of the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group, the 16-year-old victim came to them to file a complaint against the suspect.
Silvio said the suspect demanded the minor to unblock her number from the cellphone and to meet with her.
The PNP-ACG immediately set the entrapment operation in a mall in Sta. Mesa, Manila. Authorities were able to recover the cellphone used by the suspect containing the nude photos of the victim.
The complainant said their relationship started when she was 11 years old.
“Magkapitbahay sila. Nagkaroon sila ng intimate relationship. Binibigyan din siya ng mga regalo,” Silvio said.
(They were neighbors. They developed an intimate relationship. The suspect also gave her gifts.)
The relationship went on for five years. When the minor wanted to end it, the suspect refused and began threatening her.
The suspect allegedly created numerous Instagram accounts and posted nude photos of the minor on social media.
The suspect will be charged with violations of the Child Abuse Law, Anti Rape Law, Anti-Child Pornography Act, Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism Act of 2009, grave threat and grave coercion.
