Metro Manila and large swaths of Luzon will experience a rainy Father's Day due to the southwest monsoon or habagat, the state weather bureau said.
The habagat rains will dump occasional heavy rains in Pangasinan, Bataan and Zambales, said PAGASA.
Light to moderate rains, meanwhile, are expected over Metro Manila and the Cordillera region, the rest of Ilocos and Central Luzon, the provinces of Cavite and Batangas, and the Babuyan and Batanes islands.
The rest of the country may experience localized thunderstorms, the weather office added.
Tropical depression Ester, which dampened parts of Luzon before leaving the Philippine area on Saturday, no longer has any direct effect on the country, said PAGASA.
