Rainfall will continue in selected areas of the country this weekend amid the onset of the rainy season, state weather bureau PAGASA said.
In its weather outlook, PAGASA said the southwest monsoon will bring light to moderate rains and thunderstorms over the Ilocos Region, Zambales and Bataan.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies will also be experienced over the rest of Central and Northern Luzon, it added.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will also experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers during afternoons or evenings.
PAGASA said weather conditions may "gradually ease out" come Monday, June 17.
Despite the rains, however, PAGASA said no tropical cyclones are expected over the coming week.
PAGASA on Friday declared the start of the rainy season amid the occurrence of "scattered to at times widespread rainfall" linked to the southwest monsoon.
