MANILA- ABS-CBN News' special digital report on the Marawi siege won honorable mention (Group B) award for Excellence in Explanatory Reporting at the Society of Publishers in Asia's (SOPA) 2018 Awards.

"Buhay pa kami': Dispatches from Marawi," penned by Jeff Canoy with featured photos by Val Cuenca, details stories of the 5-month-long war that left the once bustling urban center in ruins.

A look into how Muslims, Christians, and ordinary civilians survived the 5-month siege of Marawi City by Islamic State sympathizers, the report was published on news.abs-cbn.com in July 2017.

It was edited by news.abs-cbn.com deputy editor Dominic Menor, produced by ABS-CBN News Digital's multimedia team and developed for the web by Regie Francisco.
