MANILA - Authorities seized more than P2.5 billion worth of suspected shabu in General Trias, Cavite on Thursday evening, according to the Philippine National Police.
The PNP public information office said in a statement that police officers conducted a buy-bust operation in Somerset 9 subdivision in Barangay Navarro, which led to the seizure of the illegal drugs and the arrest of a suspect.
The contraband, which weighed 374 kilos, has an estimated value of P2.543 billion, the police said.
Aside from the drugs, P1 million worth of boodle cash was also recovered.
President Rodrigo Duterte earlier renewed a threat to kill drug dealers after police seized P5.1 billion worth of shabu in Bulacan.
It was one of the biggest seizures since he unleashed his bloody drug war.
