MANILA - Filipinos should expect a rainy weekend as tropical depression Domeng could intensify into a storm before leaving by Sunday, the state weather bureau said Friday.
Latest data indicated that the weather system was about 460 kilometers east of Casiguran, Aurora and is moving eastward away from the Philippines, said PAGASA forecaster Jun Galang in an interview with DZMM radio.
The combined strength of "Domeng" and the southwest monsoon or habagat could bring heavy rains to CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Bicol region and Western Visayas.
The rest of Luzon and Visayas might experience light to moderate rains, said Galang.
