MANILA - The rainy season has officially begun, according to state weather bureau PAGASA.
This was declared after the required amount of rainfall in the climate stations was met, said Senior Weather Specialist Cris Perez.
The western part of the country, including Metro Manila, will experience scattered to widespread rains and thunderstorms in the coming days, which may be followed by dry periods that could last up to 2 weeks, PAGASA said in a statement.
Parts of the country are also experiencing rains due to 'Domeng,' which has intensified into a storm as it moves in a northeastward direction.
