American and live-in partner arrested for illegal drugs

AGUSAN DEL SUR - An American and his live-in partner were arrested for drug possession at their apartment in Prosperidad town here past 6 a.m. Wednesday, police said. 

Paul Joseph Capadona, 69, and his live-in partner Linda Fernandez, 24, were arrested by the Prosperidad Municipal Police for possession of illegal drugs.

Police seized four sachets or P28,000 worth of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride "shabu" and drug paraphernalia from the couple.

Senior Inspector Jerry Fernandez, chief of the Prosperidad Municipal Police, said Capadona was recently listed in their drug watch list while Fernandez had surrendered to authorities through "Oplan Tokhang" anti-drug operations last year.

The suspects are now subject to inquest proceeding for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
