Laboratory sa Silay City, Negros Occ., certified na para sa COVID-19 testing

SILAY CITY - May certification na mula sa Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) ang Biomolecular Laboratory sa Teresita Lopez Jalandoni Provincial Hospital sa Silay City, Negros Occidental, na magbibigay-daan para magsagawa ito ng independent testing para sa COVID-19.

Ayon kay Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson, puwede nang magsagawa ng Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction Test o RT-PCR test ang naturang laboratoryo. 

Sa ngayon, 250 hanggang 300 pa lamang na mga swab test ang makakayang iproseso ng mga lab personnel. Inaasahan na sa susunod na linggo, madadagdagan ang masasagawang test sa kada araw.

Ngayong may kakayahan na ang probinsya para mag test, sabi ni Lacson na mababawasan na ang mga nasa quarantine centers.

Dati ay sa Ilolilo pa ipinapadala ang swab samples para masuri.

"The moment the result comes out and it's negative, at most 2 days, then they can go. We don't have to follow anymore the 14-day quarantine," sabi niya.

Dahil na rin dito, handa na aniya ang probinsiya sa pagtanggap ng mga pasahero na darating sa probinsya, sa airport man o seaport.

Nakatakdang bumalik ang domestic commercial flights sa susunod na linggo. Gagawin ng probinsya na mandatory ang pagpapasailalim ng mga pasahero sa test pagdating sa airport.

"We are now discussing the protocols on how we will receive these passengers taking airlines or flying through our domestic airport. In fact, I understand, tomorrow, we will have a run through as to the sequence from the time the passenger arrives. There will be a scanner to check their body temperature. And from the time they leave the terminal, they will have to go proceed for a swab," dagdag ng gubernador.

Mula Mayo 25, mahigit na sa 600 na mga taga Negros ang nakauwi sa probinsya sa pamamagitan ng sweeper flights at Malasakit trips.

Ayon as Department of Health, 38 na ang licensed RT-PCR laboratories sa buong bansa nitong Hunyo 1. Meron ding 11 licensed Gene Xpert laboratories.
