University of San Carlos grad tops chemical engineering board exam

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) said Tuesday that 310 out of 561 examinees passed the Chemical Engineering Licensure exam given by the Board of Chemical Engineering in Manila and Cebu this May 2017.

Wayne Lorenz Tandingan from the University of San Carlos in Cebu topped the board examination with a rating of 85.20 percent.

Victor Lau Jr. and Joshua Allen Alcaraz of the MAPUA Institute of Technology-Manila came in second and third with 85.00 and 84.60 percent, respectively.

De La Salle University (DLSU)-Manila and University of the Philippines-Los Banos were the top performing schools with a passing rate of 94.12 percent and 88.89 percent, respectively.

DLSU-Manila produced 4 of the 10 topnotchers.
