A magnitude-4.0 earthquake jolted Davao del Sur early Wednesday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The tremor happened at 2:10 a.m., with its epicenter recorded 16 kilometers southwest of Kiblawan town.
It was tectonic in origin and struck at a depth of 15 kilometers, according to Phivolcs.
Instrumental Intensity II was felt at Malungon, Sarangani.
The tremor is not expected to cause aftershocks. No damage has been reported so far.
