The Office of Civil Defense (OCD) on Thursday said its field offices were placed on red alert amid the ongoing firefight between government troops and the terrorist Maute group in Marawi City.

The OCD met with other government agencies on Thursday morning to discuss plans related to the ongoing tension brought by the presence of Maute group in Marawi City.

President Rodrigo Duterte has placed the entire Mindanao under martial law after fighting erupted between government troops and the Maute group on Tuesday.
