MANILA - The Philippine National Police Internal Affairs Service (PNP-IAS) will be submitting their resolution on the case of Supt. Ma. Christina Nobleza, the police official who allegedly fell in love with a terror suspect.
Atty. Alfegar Triambulo, chief of the IAS, said they are looking at filing charges of grave misconduct and conduct unbecoming of a public officer against Nobleza who was arrested for allegedly helping a terror suspect in Bohol.
"The fact na she was... naharang sa checkpoint kasama ang isang suspected terrorist, 'yan po ay conduct of unbecoming sa isang police officer, lalo na siya ay isang high-ranking police sa PNP," Triambulo told reporters on Monday.
Triambulo said they are just in the process of preparing their evidence against Nobleza and they will be submitting their recommendation within 15 days to to PNP chief Director General Ronald "Bato" Dela Rosa.
Nobleza is a former deputy regional chief of the Davao police Crime Laboratory.
She was arrested with her lover Reneer Lou Dongon, a suspected Abu Sayyaf member, after ignoring a checkpoint in Clarin town, Bohol.
Nobleza has insisted that she only went to Clarin on an assignment, but has so far failed to present official memos to prove her claim.
