MANILA -- A passenger bound for Davao was found dead inside one of the cubicles of the comfort room inside the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Sunday morning.
According to Manila International Airport Authority, they received a report of a man found unconscious inside a comfort room cubicle in the airport's domestic pre-departure wing past 8 a.m.
Upon checking, the man was found unresponsive and without a pulse. He was later identified as Richard Alexander Parenas, passenger of Cebu Pacific flight 5J-875 bound for Davao.
Airline personnel said Parenas checked in at around 5:26 a.m. A witness said he went to to the comfort room at around 6:15 a.m. and was not seen since.
Medical personnel said Parenas died of cardio-respiratory arrest with unknown cause.
His body has been claimed by Veronica Funeral Homes.
