MANILA - A group of Supreme Court workers on Saturday urged colleagues to wear red on Monday to support the ouster of Maria Lourdes Sereno as chief justice.
"Muli nating ipakita ang nagkakaisang hangarin natin para sa malaya at isang Korte Suprema!" according to an advisory from the Supreme Court Employees Association.
(Let us show again our united goal of a free and united Supreme Court.)
The advisory came a day after several supporters of Sereno staged "Black Friday" protests outside of the Supreme Court and in different parts of Manila.
In an unprecedented decision last May 11, the Supreme Court nullified Sereno's appointment for failure to fully disclose her wealth when she applied for the top post in 2012.
Sereno had said that she would appeal the decision.
