MANILA -- President Rodrigo Duterte has named a Davao-based lawyer as the new Land Registration Authority (LRA) administrator.
Renato Bermejo's appointment was signed by Duterte on May 10, according to documents received by the Department of Justice.
Bermejo, formerly a judge, replaces Eulalio Diaz III, a nephew of Associate Justice Antonio Carpio.
The LRA, an agency under the DOJ, is in charge of the country's registry of land ownership. It issues decrees of registration and certificates of title, and is in charge of other transactions related to land ownership. --with reports from Johnson Manabat, DZMM
