MANILA--The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) on Saturday said more than 17 million families have received cash aid under the national government’s social amelioration program (SAP).
This is based on department data as of Thursday, May 14.
Meanwhile, P77.6 billion was disbursed by LGUs, P18 billion released to Pantawid families, and P496.2 million disbursed directly to TNVS and PUV drivers.
“Batid ng DSWD na kinakailangang natin mapabils upang mapahatid natin ang kinakailangang ayuda sa ating mga kababayan,” Dumlao said during the Laging Handa press briefing Saturday.
The DSWD launched on Friday the mobile app ReliefAgad to facilitate the easy registration and validation of SAP beneficiaries, but the department said the platform is still in its pilot stage in the National Capital Region.
