Health Secretary Paulyn Jean Ubial on Tuesday said she “feels positive” about her confirmation hearing tomorrow despite the fact she will be facing at least two lawmakers who are opposed to her appointment.
They are Senate Majority Leader Tito Sotto and Kabayan Party-list Rep. Harry Roque.
Ubial said her head executive assistant has already talked to Sotto. She declined to give further details.
As for Roque, she said she is confident that all of the solon's allegations against her will be properly addressed tomorrow.
"Si Harry Roque, may opposition pa rin. Several issues that I've already answered," she told reporters.
An hour before Ubial's nomination, the CA will scrutinize the appointment of Senator Alan Peter Cayetano as secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs.
The appointments to the departments of Labor and Employment and Social Welfare and Development are also scheduled to be tackled before the Commission on Appointments tomorrow.
