Bai Mariam Mangudadatu won the gubernatorial seat by getting 251,773 votes, beating Freddie Mangudadatu (192,252).
Bai, incumbent mayor of Datu Abdullah Sangki town, is the wife of Sultan Kudarat First District Congressman Suharto Mangudadtu while Freddie, outgoing mayor of the Mangudadatu municipality, is the younger sibling of incumbent Maguindanao Governor Esmael Mangudadatu.
Esmael, meanwhile, moved from being governor to congressman after winning as Second District representative by claiming 119,988 votes over closest rival Nathaniel Midtimbang (101,121).
The results was based on the 95.66 of votes accounted by Comelec as of 9:22 p.m, Tuesday.
Suharto, likewise, is triumphant in Sultan Kudarat where he ran unopposed as governor.
