Supporters of former Cabinet Secretary Leoncio Evasco, Jr. gathered in front of the Bohol capitol Wednesday evening for a prayer rally and vigil.
Evasco's supporters are also protesting alleged vote-buying incidents in the province in the midterm elections held Monday.
Incumbent Congressman Arthur Yap currently leads the gubernatorial race in the province by more than 3,000 votes.
Yap got 326,032 votes so far, while Evasco has 323,115, based of partial and unofficial results from 99.65 percent of election returns in the province.
Evasco earlier announced he would file a petition for failure of election, a move he described as “the last one legal option to right an infirmed election.”
