Palace to mothers: 'Mabuhay po kayo!'

MANILA - Malacañang on Sunday joined Filipinos in celebrating Mother's Day.

"Today we take time and greet all mothers a Happy Mother’s Day," Presidential Spokesperson Ernesto Abella said in a statement.

"Isang maligayang Araw ng mga Nanay sa lahat ng mga ina, nanay, mama, mommy sa loob at labas ng Pilipinas. Mabuhay po kayo!"

Mother’s Day is celebrated every second Sunday of May.

President Rodrigo Duterte himself is known for his close relationship with his late mother, Soledad “Soling” Duterte.

The President is currently in Beijing, China for an economic forum with at least 27 other heads of state and government.
