MANILA - Reelectionist Laguna Gov. Ramil Hernandez is leading the gubernatorial race in Laguna, based on partial, unofficial results as of 6:15 p.m.
Hernandez has received 1,581 while comebacking former governor E.R. Ejercito got 578, based on 0.21 percent of election returns from clustered precincts.
Independent candidate Manolo Samia has 14 votes so far, while fellow independents Berlene Alberto and Leonardo Almadrigo has received 10 each.
At the height of the campaign, Ejercito was convicted of graft over an anomalous insurance deal during his time as Pagsanjan town mayor. He asserted that he could pursue his bid to return to the provincial capitol until final judgment.
