After weeks of nonstop campaigning, Francis Zamora and his PDP-Laban Team San Juan wrapped up at the San Juan Arena on Saturday night.
The 6,000-seater arena was almost full of supporters donning red colored shirts. “Za-mo-ra” echoed inside the halls of the gymnasium when Francis entered like a basketball superstar.
The team’s platform include modernization of San Juan through technological infrastructures, all access free wifi in the city, expanded medical benefits for senior citizens, comprehensive sports program for the youth, and additional ambulances and fire trucks.
Zamora said these are the needed changes in San Juan, add to the fact that he wants to unseat the leadership of the Estradas spanning for 50 years.
Zamora said he is more than ready come Monday elections.
I am very optimistic that we will win."
Joining the mayoral candidate was his father, incumbent district representative Ronny Zamora, who is gunning for another seat in Congress.
Celebrities from show business and sports campaigned for Team San Juan. These included Zamora’s longtime friend, James Yap, Ervic Vijandre, volleyball star Mika Reyes, Nino’s Muhlach’s child Alonzo, and the band Aegis. UP Maroon Ricci Rivero also showed support for the Zamoras.
Two former San Juan mayors backed Zamora in his campaigns.
Former mayor Braulio Sto Domingo is grateful.
Meanwhile former mayor Baby San Pascual said the city needs another "saint."
“A new day has come in San Juan.
