MANILA - The Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission is processing 15 reports of vote buying and electoral fraud for endorsement to the Commission on Elections.
This was bared by PACC Commissioner Greco Belgica in a press conference alongside Commissioner Al Parreño Friday.
"Overwhelming na ang report both sa vote buying and electoral fraud," said Belgica.
Belgica presented pictures and video of alleged vote buying activities in Isabela, Santiago City, Misamis Occidental, Abra, La Union, in the cities of Manila, Muntinlupa, Pasay, and even in Hong Kong.
Belgica said the Duterte administration is serious about having a clean election.
Comelec officials reminded the public that they can and should report cases of vote buying to the poll body so these can prosper into actual complaints that can be investigated and prosecuted.
"Pwedeng maging criminal case 'yun for vote buying. Second, pwede silang ma-disqualiy yung mga kandidatong 'yun. Hahabulin namin ang mga kandidato na nag vote buying even after elections," said Parreño.
(Vote buying can be a criminal case. Candidates who are proven to have bought votes will also be disqualified. We will chase these candidates even after elections).
