ROXAS CITY—A woman was found dead in a sack under the bed of a lodging house room in Plaridel Street in Roxas City on Monday.

Roxas police found the body of Loida Gonzales, 30, under the bed inside the room.

Gonzales and her live-in partner, Jerwin Telesforo, 30, checked in at the room on Sunday based on the visitors' logbook of the pension house.

Around 2p.m., personnel of the lodging house heard the victim and Telesforo quarreling. Telesforo moved out of the room at around 8 p.m.

Telesforo turned himself in to the Sapian Police Station. He confessed his crime to the authorities and how he committed it.

The autopsy report said victim suffered bruises in her body, which may have resulted from Telesforo beating her to death.

Telesforo said jealousy forced him to kill his live-in partner after discovering that the victim allegedly had an affair with another man.

Telesforo, who is facing a murder charge, is detained at the Roxas City Jail. -- Report from Jenel Baclay, ABS-CBN News
