PUERTO PRINCESA— An American citizen was stabbed to death in her home in El Nido, Palawan last Friday.

The police found Naoko Germain Hiler, 73, dead in her home and a safety box missing.

Two persons were caught on CCTV footage, which has been circulating in social media, outside Hiler’s house.

In the video, a man wearing white shirt and pants, his face covered, is seen carrying a knife. After a while, the man approaches the house and attempts to open its door.

The Philippine National Police (PNP) confirmed it was the victim’s house in the video, and added the CCTV as evidence in its investigation.

The PNP is asking anyone with information about the incident to step forward and call their hotline at 117, 722-0650, 0917-847-5757.-- report from Cherry Camacho, ABS-CBN News
